In this section I will be focusing on Cryopreservation in the view of Jews and the spiritual organisation the Brahma Kumaris.
Cryopreservation in tHe view of Brahma kumaris
The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University is a spiritual organisation founded 1937. This spiritual movement has spread to over 110 countries on all continents . The organisation was founded in Karachi, then in India, and the headquarters have remained in India ever since, however they are now based in Mount Abu- high in the Aravali Mountains of Rajasthan, a North Indian state.
The organisation was was founded by Dada Lekhraj Kripalani, who was originally a devout Hindu. After a series of visions in 1936, Dada Lekhraj decided to set up an organisation where the principles and practices of a meditative life can be learnt and practiced. This self transformation will help individuals live a more fulfilled and happier life.
The Brahma Kumaris believe that we all are souls who go through the cycle of rebirth 84 times through the cycle of time. Raja Yoga meditation is a way of giving you a clear, personal, spiritual understanding of your true self, and can help us to understand our true virtues and qualities which we have forgotten are there!
When taking the seven day course, the beginners guide to Raja Yoga meditation, the first lesson is understanding who you are. We are all souls: points of light. Who are all part of the cycle of birth and rebirth. This is an important concept which affects their view on Cryonics.
The Brahma Kumaris would not believe in Cryopreservation as it is believed that once a body dies and stops experiencing life, the soul, the life force the drives the body, leaves the 'dead body' and carries on its journey in a new body to continue experiencing life somewhere else. This is known as reincarnation of the soul. So when and if the cryopreserved body is revived there is no knowing what will drive this souless body. This is why the Brahma Kumaris would not agree with Cryopreservation, as it may be hard to try and make the soul reenter the body once it has left.

CRYOPRESERVATION IN THE VIEW OF JEWS
Judaism is the oldest monotheistic religion. The religion began around 4000 years ago, in the Bronze Age in the Middle East. The start of Judaism is told in the first 5 books of the Bible. They believe that God chose Abraham to be the father of a people who would be special to God, and who would be an example of good behaviour and holiness to the rest of the world. God guided the Jewish people through many troubles, and at the time of Moses he gave them a set of 613 rules by which they should live, including the Ten Commandments. The holy scripture of Jews is the Torah which contains the 613 commandments in Hebrew. The Talmud was written by Jewish Rabbis and priests which contains the main Jewish principles and laws.
Jews belive that once they have died it is obligatory for them to buried into the ground as soon as possible, so this would pose a problem when it comes to Cryonics. This would be going against their religion. In the Talmud (Sanhedrin 46b) it cites a number of proofs for this principle. One is the fact that the burials of Sarah, Abraham, Isaac, Rachel and Jacob are mentioned in the Book of Genesis. Another is the fact that God Himself buried Moses at the end of Deuteronomy. This is why Jews would be against the idea of Cryopreservation.
